Ruffled and Purple and Spots and Blotches…Moorean Hibiscus

Standard

Enthusiasts call hibiscus “The Queen of all Flowers”. With the exception of a few varieties, hibiscus have plenty of attributes:

–      Easy to grow.

–      Easy to maintain.

–      Easily adaptable.

–      Easy to reproduce.

–      And above all, easy to love.

And all those colors for our enjoyment: from pink to violet, ranging through red, orange, khaki, blue and all shades!

Charles ATIU

I think there is no characteristic of Hibiscus flowers that Moorean Hibiscuses don’t have… The genius of Master Hybridizer Charles Atiu speaks trough this flowers. Enjoy them all!

Maybe the new cultivars today tell us a story… Maybe the Escape King of Malawi saw an Alligator Sunbathing, and then he hunted a Wisent, before Hiking With Mom…

In The Loving Memory Of Tomassina

Standard

Today’s story brings together three generations of Italian Women from the same family, embodied by Master Charles Atiu into three splendid new Cultivars.

Three generations of women, like life itself.
Charlotte – the youngest , Tomassina’s grandaughter, like a willowy young tree, just starting to form, with roots easing into the warm soil, head facing to the sun.

Maria Rita – Tomassina’s daughter, the mature tree, with a thick and strong trunk, branches out to protect and shelter.

And Tomassina, at the origin of this story, the oldest tree, a gnarled trunk, but wise, whispering secrets of the winds. To the Loving Memory of the Grandmother of this family we dedicate the new cultivars of today!
